About Ed Hudson
Experience
I was born in Honolulu, raised in California, and returned to Hawaii in 2017 to leverage my experiences leading HR for global technology companies to help uplevel HR capabilities locally. I have a solid track record of significantly improving HR capability and execution in small and large organizations, on a global scale, and across business sectors. I bring my experience and a strong desire to help local organizations and HR professionals to develop best practice strategies and solutions for their specific talent management needs.
Mission
After four decades in the corporate HR world, including the past six years leading HR for two of the leading financial services companies in the state, I am excited and energized about helping local organizations and HR professionals to develop greater capability and capacity to meet the talent challenges of Hawaii. I'd love to discuss your organization's strategic HR priorities and how I might help you achieve them. If I'm not the right resource, I may be able to refer you to someone who could help.
Education
I received my BS Business Administration from California State University, Long Beach and my MBA from the University of Southern California, both with options in Human Resources Management. I have developed and lectured courses geared to the HR professional (HR Technology, Workforce Analytics, Strategic Human Resources Management) for UC Santa Cruz Extension Program, Silicon Valley, and have facilitated HRCI coursework for HPU.
Community
I have served on the Board of Directors for Blood Bank of Hawaii and on the Board of Governors for Hawaii Employers Council (HEC), and currently serve on the UH Shidler Advisory Board for the Master of Human Resources Management (MHRM) Program.
